Located on 12 Victoria Street (just off of market square), Delilah Fine Foods is a delicious delicatessen which acts as a whole foods store/ bar/ cafe/ restaurant all in one. Supporting tapas style breakfast and lunch selections. As well as selling exquisite local products including olive oils, chutneys, cheeses, cured meats and wine (all of which you can make up into a hamper). This is a deli that is well worth a visit.
Their breakfasts range from 'Green Eggs and Ham' (Green Pesto and Scrambled Egg with Parma Ham and Sour Dough Bread) to French toast with Maple Syrup and Bacon. And they also sell a number of homemade cakes.
They provide a variety of sandwich selections that are both unique and appealing with a range of gourmet ingredients. From Roast Turkey. Cranberry Jelly and a Mixed Leaves Salad, to Pastrami, Mustard and Mini Gherkins. Priced at between £7 to £8.
(The picture featured is Sour Dough Bread, with Scrambled Egg, Roasted Tomato and Chorizo. It was a gorgeous dish, that was beautifully presented, rich and filling.)
Although this is a rather pricey place to go if you are looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite. I believe it is a great place for students to take their parents or friends from home when they come to visit. As it is unusual, tasty and has a warm, friendly atmosphere.
