On no.12 Pepper Street, just off of Bridlesmith Gate (next door to American Apparel) resides Pepper Rocks a quirky, contemporary bar/creperie.
It is a cosy venue comprising of two floors, both with indoor and outdoor seating. And there are often different forms of entertainment taking place, such as their weekly Open Mike Night which takes place every tuesday.
Their cocktails are fairly priced at £3.50 everyday from 5pm-8pm, although their selection is rather limited. I personally recommend the the Expressotini if you're a coffee lover.
Whilst their crepes are slightly more expensive (generally ranging from £2.50 - £5. Both their sweet and savoury menus are too enticing to pass up, and trust me, you will not be disappointed.
It is a great place to go for a chilled out evening, listening to music, snacking on pancakes and sipping cocktails. But it is also not a bad bar to stop at during a night out due to its reasonable prices. Well worth a try!
On Thursday 10th October 2013 my flatmates and I went to check out the Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival which took place at Nottingham Castle from Wednesday 9th October - Saturday 12th October.
Entry was £12.50 which included 14 beer/cider tickets and a novelty glass tankard. 2 tickets would get you a third of a pint of beer or cider (although this was usually half a pint due to the generous barmen and women) and 6 tickets would get you a glass of wine. If you returned you tankard at the end of the evening you would received £2.50.
